Peaches
Peaches
Like an all-time favorite song, Peaches is a crowd favorite, with its soft, well, peachy tone to make even the most olive-skinned beauty glow like you know it.
.
Firstly, let’s talk about the shade itself.
Peaches is a warm-toned peachy-pink that flatters pretty much every shade of skintone in the audience.
It has a way of adding a soft pop of color to your cheeks without looking too overpowering or clown-like (nobody wants to be the clown, right?)
Peaches is a perfect shade for a natural, everyday look, but you can also build it up for a more glam evening look. I like to call that look – Peaches perfect.
She’s a timeless shade, our Peaches. So rest assured that your investment in this blush won’t be a fleeting trend.
As well as timelessness, MAC Blush in Peaches can also be considered somewhat versatile. I say this because you can use it not only as a blush but also as an eyeshadow or even a lip color (just mix a little bit with a clear gloss for a subtle peachy hue).
The dream travel companion, or if you like a streamlined makeup routine.
.
Gingerly
Gingerly
More popular than a Taylor Swift concert and more natural than Prince’s music ability. Gingerly is an absolute must-have for uber-subtle, soft cheek enhancement without looking like you’re wearing any makeup.
.
There’s nothing like a blush with an adjective for a name, so how could I resist putting this beauty up top of our listing?
With tones as earthy as our planet’s very core, this is a shade that is bound to be flattering on all skin tones.
Gingerly has something of a cult status among makeup artists and hobbyists alike. I know I’ve currently got one or 12 floating around the various versions of my kit as we speak.
The blush itself is warm blush, with subtle peach tones. And it’ll provide you with a sun-kissed flush to your cheeks. With a matte formulation, it’s also easy-breezy to apply and blend out as light or as intense as only you can know. Your olive skin will gently radiate in Gingerly.
.
Melba
Melba
A lovely, light wash of coral-peach is a stellar blush choice for your olive complexion.
.
MAC Melba Blush will provide you with a sheer pop of color to the cheeks. It’s perfect for achieving a fresh, natural look – and gorgeous through the summer months.
Also, might I add, a great choice if you’re picking up your first blush.
Understated and perhaps under-appreciated, Melba is ideal for everyday wear.
.
Blushbaby
Blushbaby
The penultimate perfect neutral pink, matte finish blush.
.
A soft, neutral pink that, if it does one thing, will for sure give a natural flush of color to your cheeks. Great for any and every skin tone under the sun.
Delivered from the MAC Sheertone Blush range, this is like the perfect, neutral, matte pink blush.
Blushbaby is like the Goldilocks of blush pigments; not too light, not too bright, but just right for you. So pretty!
.
Raizin
Raizin
An enigmatic pinky-brown delight.
.
Raizin is like the Marsha Brady’s of terracotta – not quite a warm brown and not quite a pink, but with the gentle meekness of both. Gorgeous on olive skin tones but works like a dream on most!
With a warm reddish-brown shade that will give your cheeks a natural-looking flush. Delicious on olive complexion, too. And ideal for everyday wear.
.
Harmony
Harmony
If neutral is what takes your fancy when it comes to blush, then you are in the right place.
.
Part blush, part contour product, Harmony is a brilliant choice if you’re a minimalist when it comes to your own makeup, and are set to have one cheek product mutli-task for you.
Harmony is a soft, muted rose-beige shade that’s perfect for adding natural-looking definition to the cheeks.
It’s a great option for those with fair to medium skin tones.
.
Fleur Power
Fleur Power
Another of my fave pink-toned, flush to the cheeks blush.
.
Fleur Power blush is a bright, medium-pink blush shade will give your cheeks vibrancy and a fresh-faced flush. It’s perfect if you love a pop of color.
Works like a charm on olive tones, particularly with medium to darker skin tones. Fleur Power may well be your perfect match when it comes to matte blushes that MAC has to offer.
.
.

Coppertone
Despite its name, Coppertone is all matte.
.
With a warm, brownish-orange hue, Coppertone is the perfect, summery mode of transport for adding warmth and definition to your cheeks. It’s a great option for those with dark to medium skin tones.
Not quite neutral, but this matte is so versatile you could even throw it one your eyes in a last-minute makeup application.
.
Rosy Outlook
Rosy Outlook
A perfect pink color blush, for a light flush.
.
Rosy Outlook is a soft warmish pink blush. Swipe for a look of innocence and girly charm. Will be flattering on all, but particularly pretty on lighter skin tones with an olive undertone. Sadly, at the time of publishing, I believe this blush is discontinued, but you can find the odd one of Ebay if you’re despereate to get your clutches on one before they are extinct forever.
.
Warm Soul
Warm Soul
Sometimes how makeup looks in the pan is less informative than it’s namesake. I feel like that’s definitely the case with warm soul.
.
Uber flattering on all who grace her, Warm Soul is indeed a warm, peachy-pinky-brown blush just perfect for adding a hint of warmth and glow to the cheeks. Particularly if you have a fair skin tone.
And although I’m not usually one to shout to the heavens about a shimmer, the subtle golden shimmer in Warm Soul is delightful and, seriously, is flattering to you and you and you!
.
Mocha
Mocha
Mmmm delicious, right? And as well as wanting to race out and buy this baby right now, I have the overwhelming urge to drink a mocha.
.
MAC Mocha blush is yet another beloved matte from the MAC blush multiverse.
A muted plum shade that will give your cheeks a subtle pop of color. It’s great for a more neutral look.
.
Blunt
Blunt
Don’t be fooled by pan appearances! This is a blush product and should be used as such.
.
I know, I know, in this fast-paced, AI-run world, we all want a quick-fix solution. 5-in-1 products that can do everything. But this, my friend, is definitely a case of letting a product do its thing. Because it does that one thing, oh so well.
This is most definitely a blush with a red undertone. I know it looks brown, and I know you think you can make it work as a contour product, a shader, an eyeshadow, and a blush. But please, hear me when I say Blunt will work wonders on your medium, olive skin tone as a blush alone.
And remember that light touch, as it’ll come in handy with this bad boy, too.
.
Burnt Pepper
Burnt Pepper
The perfect blush to give a healthy glow to your bare skin.
.
Burnt Pepper is a dream blush if you have light to medium skin tones. Add olive to that equation, and I’ll call you Einstein!
Burnt pepper is a warm, matte red shade that will give your cheeks the perfect flush they deserve. Described on the MAc website as a dirty tangerine shade, MAC makes no mistake with the adjectives.
From a soft swipe for a hint of health, to upping the ante for an 80s-inspired statement cheek – Burnt Pepper can do it all.
.
Petal Power
Petal Power
A light and breezy, spring shade with an extra dose of shimmer.
.
Petal Power is such a feminine blush. Best suited for a light to medium skin tone, and of course, olive tones, it delivers in the shimmer department as part of the Mineralize range from Mac.
A coral blush, with more than a hint of gold reflect, MAC Petal Power is a super flattering blush for the right complexion-candidate.
.
Style
Style
Pretty as a peach, light blush for a natural, sunkissed look.
.
Style is soft coral-peach shade with a soft gold shimmer, known as frost, that will give your cheeks a subtle radiant and dewy finish.
While my sources tell me this may be a discontinued shade, if you’re sneaky enough, you might just find one or two right here.
.
Format
Format
This may be the secret weapon for medium to dark olive skin toned beauties.
.
Format is a muted pinkish-brown shade with an ever so slight, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it frost.
Buyers beware – use a very light hand when applying, as too much can truly be too much of a very good thing.
,
Frankly Scarlet
Frankly Scarlet
No more pinching your cheeks with this blush beauty.
.
Despite being named with a reference older than you and I put together, Frankly Scarlet is still very now.
A bright, cool-toned red shade that will give your cheeks a bold slap in the face. Perfect if you want your cheeks to do all the talking.
Frankly Scarlet is a matte blush and is not for the faint-hearted, or faced as it turns out. But on an olive undertone, will work wonders!
.
Sunbasque
Sunbasque
You don’t need a bronzer; you just need a Sunbasque.
.
Apply all over with your fave giant fluffy brush. Sunbasque will result in radiance, and warm delightful glow, without looking like the mother from There’s Something About Mary.
This beautiful blush will give you a summer glow worthy of awards, and yet a soft radiance in cooler months too, when perhaps your natural skin tone is a shade or two lighter than the ushe.
.
.
Best Blush Brushes
So now you’ve got your pick of the best MAC blushes around. I figured I better make sure you apply them with the finest of tools. Trust me; it’ll rock your makeup world having a high-quality tool to do the work for you.
.
What to Look for in A Good Blush Brush
I truly feel it’s worth spending a bit of money investing in good-quality makeup brushes. And let’s not get started about looking after your makeup brushes, too!
But these are the things I like to keep in mind when investing in good blush brushes:
- soft and dense bristles
- a long, strong handle that feels good to grip
- a rounded or tapered shape to easily apply product to the right areas of your cheek
- the right size relative to your face
- well made and high-quality
Best Mac Blushes for Olive Skin Tones
I had such a hard time curating just 21 shades, so for your cheeky pleasure, there was my powerfully clenched handful of some more of my favorite samplings of MAC Blushes for your reading pleasure. Not indulgent at all.
Overall, MAC offers an impressive range of blushes that cater to a variety of skin tones and preferences. Whether you’re looking for a natural-looking flush or a bold pop of color, MAC has something for everyone.
So I hope you have enjoyed indulging with me in what is one of my favorite product ranges from MAC. It’s funny, I usually don’t pay too much attention to shade names, but I must say – that it does feel like MAC spent a great deal of time and attention to naming their blush shades.
Each name truly feels spot on to the shade, to how they make you feel.
And that, for me, is totally worthwhile.
