It’s been a while, in fact, a long while! Yes, I admit I’ve been neglecting the cheeks. The undisputed quiet achiever in facial enhancement of the makeup kind. So it’s time to share some love for the cheeks and celebrate blush palettes, cheek colors, and all things cheeky in this week’s blog post. No matter your skin tone or skin type. I’ve got you covered.

A good rosy hue is probably the single quickest way you can change or bring life to your face with a natural glow.
Literally, in one sweep of a makeup brush.
So come for a walk with me and enjoy my picks, and hopefully some of yours, of the best blush palettes your money can buy.

Best Blush Palettes

Here are my favorite (and, therefore, best!) blush palettes for you!

.

Best All-Rounder Blush Palette

viseart rose coral blush palette

If you love makeup and you haven’t had the pleasure of knowing or using a Viseart palette yet, then please do yourself the favor.
With sleek, solid and compact design, these palette are perfect whether you are professional or not. And the variety is just right as to not cause decision paralysis, but also give you plenty of options with these 6 gorgeous pigments to choose from.

Best Travel-Friendly Blush Palette

Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio

For a compact yet versatile blush option, this palette is a must-have. It features soft tones in a muted dirty pink, a lighter pink, and a peach tone.
But the best thing about this palette is just how compact it is. Perfect for your makeup bag or when you’re traveling, with enough range in just three tones to give you many different looks.

Best Pigment

Juvia’s Place – The Saharan Blush Palette Vol. I

Look at these gorgeous pigments.
You can’t go past Juvia’s Place for these beautiful, rich tones – in volumes I and II.
This palette presents a variety of textures – both matte and shimmer, with many options to create contour, highlights, AND your cheek hue all within the one palette. The vibrant red and purple hues are gorgeous on darker skin tones, and paired with the highlight shade, you can create such beautiful looks. So pretty!

Best Natural Flush Powder Blush

vibrant blush palette

Go Flush Yourself – Flush and Glow Face Palette

For soft, glowing flushes, as the name suggests, check out Polite Society’s Go Flush Yourself’s face Glow palette. It features three soft shimmer and one matte shade to deliver soft glowing results cheek after cheek.
I also got a little chuckle out of their ingredient list, when learning that its free of parabens, trolls, talc, parrafins, bigotry, gluten, shaming and many other vital ingredients we don’t need in our makeup!

The Popular Vote

nars orgasm

NARS Orgasm is probably one of the single most iconic shades regarding cheek colors and blush tones.
Not only is it one of my favorite shimmery shades, but it’s also super versatile, creates such a multi-dimensional look, and can be worn well by anyone!

Best All-in-One

tarte precious gems Amazonian clay cheek palette

I’m a big fan of Tarte and their palettes. And this Amazonian Clay Cheek Palette is no exception.
Tarte gives you blush tones in a powder formula, plus a bronzer bonus, which seems to be quite a thing these days.

But this is a succinct little palette that offers 4 matte and one luminous tones. So, while the shade range isn’t as massive as some of the larger palettes in this collection, you get a really nice and versatile set of blushes to create beautiful looks with a lovely satin finish.

Best Ethical Blush

Honest Beauty Lit powder Blush

I love to include a good, Honest product. In fact, it’s becoming a staple member of my groupings. What’s not to like?

This single from Honest Beauty in Flirty is just gorgeous. The soft shimmer finish flatters fair skin tones, and it still packs enough pigment to look like a delicate highlight on deeper skin tones.

Best Coverage and Complexion Palette

soft pink shimmer blush product

Morphe 8D Deep Glam Complexion Pro Face Palette

I know I mention one or two other palettes that also deliver complexion shades in these offerings, but those shimmer cheek shades just won me over.
And this palette really has it all: brightener, bronzer, contour, blush and highlighter shades in one but I mention it inside this post because of that divine bottom row fo matte and shimmer cheek shades that are rich and pigment-filled and deliver as promised.

Best Cream Blush

Jillian Dempsey cheek tint

Okay, so I realize this isn’t strictly a palette, but how could I refuse this incredible pigment of Scarlet from Jillian Dempsey?

Vegan and cruelty-free, and made with delicious ingredients like sunflower seed wax, organic shea butter, and coconut oil. So, you will give your skin some hydration as well as a hue.

I love Scarlet as it is the perfect cream blush to put that natural flush in your cheeks with a single creamy sweep.

The cream formula of Jillian Dempsey is perfect for all skin types, especially if you’re on the drier side. You can’t go wrong with a cream blush.

Best Affordable Blush Palette

e.l.f. Dark Blush Palette

While not the oomphiest of pigments, this e.l.f Blush Palette is still worthy of a look-in.

I love these cheek quad palettes for a soft shimmer on the cheeks. And with such pretty rosy pink and peach tones as well. And as always, for the price tag, you can’t go wrong.

Best Soft Beauty

Sigma Beauty Blush Palette

I decided to include this blush palette, as it’s not always about creating bright hues and dramatic glows. Sometimes you just want a soft wash of color or more of a natural look with your cheek tone. Well, this is the perfect palette for just those looks.

And you get a lovely highlighter and a soft shader tone in there as well. This is a really pretty palette for softer shades of blush.

Best Clean Blush Palette

RMS Beauty Lip 2 Cheek Glo Quad Mini Palette

With more oils than Venezuala, this cheek palette slash skincare product is a must if you have dry skin and are on the constant lookout for nourishing and hydrating on your face.
I’m looking at you, anyone over about 35!
With 3 lip and cheek shades, and 1 luminizing highlight shade, this palette with gorgeous creamy texture can provide all of your cheek’s needs under the one lid.

Best Options Blush

Flamingoals by Mia Del mar

So, I had to include Flamingoals, as I have it. And I love it! The pigments are as vivid as they seem in the photo, plus the packaging is so pretty!

This is a slim makeup palette (those who can remember CD cases, this kind of reminds me of a really pretty one!) and offers me tones for all complexion shades and textures.
I know it’s not the most well-known, but it is truly all you need – one of the most versatile blush palettes at a really great price. And it will go a long way, too.

Also, that light peach tone, top row, center is gorgeous on the right face! I love it!

This is probably my favorite selection of blush colors, up there with Juvia’s Place for sure.

Best Buildable Sheer Shades

Milani Cheek Kiss Cream Blush Palette

The sheer shades of this compact powder blush palette from Milani speak for themself. This is the perfect starter cheek palette for the new makeup enthusiast, offering just three shades.
This is a hard-to-come-by palette these days, so grab these buildable cream finishes in a perfect little blush palette when you can.

These creams are really easy to use, have great pigment, and allow you to create all depths of looks with blendable and buildable color.

Best Sustainable Blush

Kjaer Weis The Cheek Collective

While this may bite deeper into your back pockets, the reward comes in the long term benefits.
Because aside from having three soft feminine cream blush shades, you get a refillable system that you can switch out in years to come.
Plus these shades of bronze/gold, a soft pink and a silver pearl highlight tone as well.

Best Luminous Blush

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit

I tried so hard to find the best image that captures the stunning marble finish of these cheek and face powders.
They truly should be seen to be believed.
Featuring three new shades, this palette is a must for professionals and hobby makeup fans alike.
Palette features the two blush tones” Rose Heat and Coral Blush and bronzer Radiant Bronze light, as well as best-sellers Radiant Light Finishing Powder and Radiant Bronze Light in Warm Bronze. I can only describe these as luminous.

Best Cream Blush Palette

Iconic London Multi-Use Lip and Cheek Palette

I like to think of this palette as more like a watercolor paint set than a makeup set.
These are pretty and feminine washes of color that you can build up for more intense pigment delivery.
But cream makeups have really given us “no makeup” wearers plenty of options when it comes to adding warmth to our faces without product. And this is certainly the case with Iconic.

Best Best-seller

Natasha Denona Bloom Cheek Palette

INspired by Natasha’s Diamond and Blush palette this beauty will provide cool, soft cheek shades and warm glowing highlights.
Creams on the top, powders on the bottom. This palette may provide you with a bit of a learning curve but the shades are so pretty.

Best Kept Industry Secret

Ben Nye Theatrical Rouge Palette

Another staple in my own kit, I always come back to Ben Nye.
Again and again.
Always improving their formulations, packaging and presentation. This is definitely a long-time favorite Ben Nye product of mine. Never lets me down, with stunning matte pigments that work on all skin tones, this palette delivers.

And that is it for my collection of best blushes for you. This was a real treat to put together, and just makes me ponder on how far blush products have come in recent years. Sadly, there is one product I really want to see here on this list, but I suspect it’s been discontinued by Makeup Forever. And that’s the one and only Lip and Cheek Cream blush and would have to be one of my all-time best cream blushes. I know MUFE tend to switch out these palettes and have mixed up the cream foundation/complexion one in recent years, so Im hoping they will bring back the blush palette because I love it.

Check out my collection of the best blush for darker skin tones here.

And that’s it – this was quite a fun collection to put together. Blush really does get forgotten or put to the back sometimes, but I hope this serves as a gentle reminder that nobody “puts baby in a corner”. Yep, I’m old 🙂
